At the east of Coahuila is the municipality of Sabinas, located in the left side of the Sabinas River, its name come from there, which is one of the main natural attractions around. The records tell that in the year of 1878, settlers coming from Ramos Arizpe, in the same state, arrived here to establish the city and convert it into a prosperous agriculture village, however, the status of municipality was granted until 1942, until today is commemorated with a traditional walk of over 300 kilometers from Ramos Arizpe to Sabinas, twin cities for their ancestor. This is a big event during September, starting with the Fair Expo Sabinas, without a doubt, the top event of the city and one of the most traditional in the entire state.
